Accessible Inclusivity Our guiding principle: all children are welcomed in age-appropriate classes and supported to learn, contribute and participate in all aspects of academy life. Support Our children can experience a variety of barriers to their learning so we remove and reduce barriers be they academic, physical, emotional or social to improve our students' access to the curriculum. Intervention Our feedback and assessment effectively monitors when the intended learning has not been successfully secured by children. This enables us to quickly intervene, adjust teaching and do things differently to help children secure understanding. Catch up We recognise that children can miss aspects of their learning in these cases there is a learning gap which needs to be filled through our catch up activities and targeted support. Revision We appreciate that learning requires the processes of forgetting and recall. With this in mind we ensure regular opportunities to revisit and revise what has been learnt so that study is regularly refreshed and recalled. Enrichment We wish to enhance and add to our children’s learning experience by building in a wealth of extended learning and enrichment opportunities into our provision. Care and Guidance Underpins all aspects of our provision so that our children enjoy their education, feel valued and develop both academically and personally. Back to Primary Curriculum Intent
